Quote about Happiness

Happiness is not having what you want but wanting what you have.
- Rabbi H. Schachtel

Comments

I like this one cause it reminds us to keep it simple. Happiness is in the things we have but we'll have to leave all of those things behind one day. Things also require a lot of time to maintain and keep track of thus allowing less time for ourselves. The most important thing we have is time. We will not want for anything else if we knew that our time was limited or our freedom taken away so we should learn to appreciate it while we have it and be generous in giving to ourselves. Taking time for ourselves is not a selfish act because the more time we are able to spend in our own fine company the more we are able to give of our true self.
